The 804N looks pretty normal, but unlike usual clamshells which have just a few megabytes that are to be shared dynamically, this mega memory monster has almost 450 megabytes underneath its hood. Now thats without the microSD card that the user can push in if he feels the need for more. Considering that the phone can handle a card of 512 Mb with ease, that adds up to mearly a gigabyte of memory to do as you please.
Thanks to the USB port (mini) one can even consider using the 804N as a storage device. Of course with MP3 and AAC support, it can also be taken as a complete replacement for a mobile music player. The 804N comes from NEC, and they mean to sell it on Vodafone (Japan - in case you are wondering) ; this baby is 3G and supports video calling. It has dual cameras (an external one which has a 2 megapixel resolution and the internal sub camera which is a normal CMOS one). The primary display of this clamshell has a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and 65,536 colors. The internal one is a smaller sub display - 64 x 96 pixels and just 4096 colors.
The handset does weigh a bit more than expected at 115 grams, perhaps due to the extra memory. Dimensions are normal for a petite clamshell - 48 × 93 × 23 mm. The NEC 804N is expected to be available in a choice of 3 colors (white , blue and pink).

aac format ,though more compressed than mpeg 1 (layer 3),according to apple, who foud the codec of aac.."aac offers more decibels and more clarity for sound.most of the high end mobile phones nowadays can decode aac and be playable.this offers another challenge to microsoft.even a small child knows apple is the biggest enemy for microsoft other than amd and open softwares..And according to steve jobs (chairman of apple),advanced audio coding a.k.a AAC,will soon hit the markets replacing mp3 from its bureaucracy to the crazy music fans..
